CALCULATION ABOUT KEPLERIAN AND GALILEIAN TELESCOPE
Calculation made by Laura Sperandio and Alessio Rocchi.
We performed the calculationa about the two options, keplerian and galileian telescope, to choose the best configuration for our setup.
The starting points of our analysis are:
- the diameter of the beam to be measured: 50 mm
- the diameter of the He-Ne laser output beam: 0.8 mm
- great ratio of amplification for both the two telescopes.
We performed the calculation using the matricial method for the diffusion of a gaussian beam.
We found the following results:
KEPLERIAN TELESCOPE - two plano-convex lenses (f1=0.3556 m, f2=0.0127 m) at distance of 0.3683 m, with a final weist of 0.0113 m.
GALILEIAN TELESCOPE - a plano-convex lens (f1=0.300 m) and a plano-concave lens (f2=-0.0125 m) at distance of 0.2875 m, with a final weist of 0.0097 m.
Here the two semi-gaussians obtained in the two cases.
