Directional Radiative Cooling
I made some calculations on the efficiency of Directional Radiative Cooling (let's say De Salvo scheme). I calculated the coupling losses as a function of the extracted power and the waist of the cooling profile in the hypotesis that the profile has a Gaussian shape. Results are reported in the following figure, where the Log of the coupling losses is plotted.
It seems that the precision required on the profile dimensions is about +/- 2.5mm and that on the power is of the order of +/- 50mW.
