New Anulus on NI bench - Logbook virgo (Rocchi, Day) 19 Jan 09
From Logbook Virgo i can see that the anulus on NI bench is changed. I report the note on the logbook:
Dimension: Outer Diameter 16 cm, Inner Diameter 12 cm
This afternoon, we moved the lens L3 on the NI TCS bench to increase
the size of the inner diameter of the annular beam. To try to reduce
the effect of the bright spot also on this TM as seen on the WI during
the friday tests (21747).
The first image shows the annulus as it was before. The bright spot
in the centre is clearly visible, moreover the annulus seems a bit more
intense on the bottom. The second image is the same as before, but we
turned on the Central Heating beam.
Third image shows the new annulus, the bright spot in the centre
seems much less intense and the annulus was not re-aligned well yet.
Fourth image is the same as third, but the CH spot is on and the
annulus has been re-aligned.
This operation required to re-center the CH spot wrt the annular
beam. While looking at the Phase Camera images, we will have to move
the Mirror B motors to re-center the CH spot on to the NI TM.
